The Link will be an innovative pedestrian connection that connects the San Antonio River Walk near Convent Park to the improved San Pedro Creek. Vickrey’s conceptual design includes beautifully blended amenities with fountains and other aesthetics using circulated water, reflecting pool, freestanding waterfall structure, landscaping, mood lighting, public art, and a clock tower/elevator. The conceptual design includes a shade canopy and adds stormwater runoff features to protect river water quality along the San Antonio River and San Pedro Creek.

The proposed project is a quarter-mile linear park providing linkages to arts and entertainment venues and cultural sites to bring tourists and visitors from downtown street level to the San Antonio River and San Pedro Creek levels, and to spur economic development in the northwestern region of downtown.

This project could provide approximately $5B of economic development impact over 10 years. The Link will be a jewel for San Antonio River Authority and the City of San Antonio.
