VICKREY is 100% complete with designing the widening of UTSA Boulevard from an existing two-lane street to a four-lane street with median and left turn lanes in accordance with the City of San Antonio’s Complete Street standards. The new street will have 10-ft wide shared use paths on both sides of the street with separation from the traveled lanes of the street to provide safe pedestrian and bike traffic and the traffic signals at Roadrunner Way and Babcock Road will be upgraded to include pedestrian signal heads and crosswalks meeting ADA requirements. Additional traffic and turn lanes to west bound UTSA Blvd at the Roadrunner Way intersection offer traffic congestion relief for UTSA students, faculty and staff, and provided critical access for housing and commercial development.
