VICKREY redesigned an existing channel section of Six Mile Creek from a concrete-lined channel to a more eco-friendly channel that incorporated natural materials, such as grass, bushes, trees, and water features. Improvements included culvert expansion at street crossings and four 60-inch reinforced concrete pipes that were bored under an existing railroad track to reduce the floodplain limits in the neighborhood to the west of the channel from potential flooding.
