Vickrey & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce Thursday's ribbon-cutting ceremony that marks the completion of the City’s Hardy Oak Boulevard extension project. Vickery provided civil engineering and surveying services for this 2012-2017 Bond Project that extends Hardy Oak from Stone Oak Parkway to Knights Cross with four lanes, two in each direction.
Stone Oak area residents will have better connectivity to local shopping, a temple, an elementary school, and other area destinations. As part of the extension project, Hardy Oak Boulevard now includes two sidewalks, one is a 10-ft wide shared-use path for bike riders and pedestrians.
Other improvements include a median, an upgraded traffic signal with pedestrian signal heads at the Knights Cross and Hardy Oak intersection crosswalk that meets TAS/ADA requirements, and a right-turn lane added to east-bound Knights Cross for access to south-bound Hardy Oak.
